Botanical ingredient manufacturer Jiaherb announced the launch of the JiaSure Analytical Insight Program, a new initiative dedicated to advancing industry understanding of botanical testing through 26 years of analytical expertise.

Botanical ingredients are among the most complex raw materials to analyze due to their natural variability and the challenges associated with identification and standardization. Through this program, the company aims to provide customers and partners with insights into testing methodologies, common pitfalls, and real-world analytical challenges.

In 2017, Jiaherb first introduced HerbaLink, a chain-of-custody program designed to ensure full traceability and identity assurance. HerbaLink integrates sustainable sourcing practices with analytical tests, including DNA authentication, high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC), and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) across every stage of production, from raw material harvest to final product packaging.

“Among all ingredient categories, botanicals are the most complicated to test,” said Corey Shaw, vice president of Jiaherb. “We have encountered many cases where incorrect testing methods or inappropriate reference standards led to confusion and even misleading conclusions. Through this program, we want to help our customers better understand how to interpret the testing reports and approach botanical testing correctly.”

Jiaherb will share real product case studies, analytical data, and firsthand testing experiences, offering a transparent view into the complexities of botanical analysis. The program is designed not only to educate but also to promote greater consistency and reliability across the industry.

“We have conducted extensive internal training over the years, but much of this knowledge has not been shared externally,” said Lucy Wang, quality control manager at Jiaherb. “Now, we are opening our experience to our customers, using actual testing results and conclusions from real testing reports to explain both the challenges and solutions. Our goal is to help more stakeholders understand the principles of accurate and reliable botanical testing.”

Jiaherb reports that the program reflects its ongoing commitment to scientific rigor, transparency, and customer education to support better decision-making in the global botanical market.
